Hamsa

In Hindu mythology, Hamsa is the divine goose upon whom the creator Brahma rides. Hamsa is seen as the guardian of creativity. Those ascetics and yogis who have gained releases from the cycle of rebirths through their practice are said to be like Hamsa. The Yogic principles of breathing are governed by the in-breath or hami and out-breath of sai. Hamsa represents the divine essence which every person possesses.
