Kashi

Kashi

This is an evil spirit from African tradition particularly in Angola, the Kashi has two faces one human looking, the other, which is on the back of its head, that of a hyena. It hides its second face behind a long thick swathe of hair that is usually dressed in a very ornate fashion.

John and Caitlin Matthews, The Element Encyclopaedia of Magical Creatures, 2013, Kashi, p 270
