Palulukon

Palulukon

In Hopi traditions of the American south-west, the Palulukon is a water serpent. Like the Nagas of Asian tradition, it was necessary to behave in tune with the environment otherwise Palulukon will cause the earth to move or stop springs flowing. The Hopi belief, the whole world floats upon the backs of two Palulukon in the primordial ocean.
