Koala

Koala

An aboriginal myth tells how the animals wanted to cross the waters to Australia. They got the starfish to distract the whale the creator so that they might take his canoe. When whale learned of what had happened, he tore starfish into pieces and went after the canoe. The animals on the canoe kept paddling as the whale chased them. It was Koala that got them to reach the land because of his great paddling arms. When they reached the shore the animal’s feet broke the canoe they struggled to shore to become animals to animals men from whom all beings are made.
