Mat Chinoi
The titular leader of the tribe of nature spirts in the traditions of the Semang people of Malaysia. This is similar to European fairies as they are small and inhabit flowers and trees in the forests of the area. Mat Chinoi look like a huge snake and within its large body it contains the female Mat Chinoi complete with fine headdresses and elaborate costumes. The outside body of the Mat Chinoi is a male and Chinoi called Halak Gihmal, who acts as guardian of the female.
