Nhang

Nhang

In American folklore, the Nhang is water spirit in female or seal form who drags men under the water and sucks their blood after having seduced their victim. The same word in Persian means crocodile.

John and Caitlin Matthews, The Element Encyclopaedia of Magical Creatures, 2013, Nhang  p 344
