Tinmiukpuk

To the Inuit that comes from Alaska the great thunderbird their mythology. Resembling a giant eagle with mighty talons, it is large enough to carry off a whole caribou, which it takes back to its lair in the mountains. It is also not above preying on humans if it cannot get any other food.
